If you have been following the Faith Geek for any period of time, you know that we have come to know, love and support the work of film maker Jason Satterlund. In spite of its broad fan base, his film project, The Record Keeper, was commissioned and later shelved by the Seventh Day Adventist church due to ““problematic and theologically inaccurate matters” raised by the film. Today we received word that Satterlund has signed with producer and manager Louise Hart at Steady On Productions.
Hart received her BA in Drama and Theatre Arts from Goldsmiths, University of London. She worked extensively in the development of BBC Three, developing programming around her love of Japan and Japanese culture. Hart returned to Los Angeles in 2003, taking a job with Sony Pictures as they prepared to launch Blu-ray. She later left Sony in order to work with independent film makers and designers and developed Steady On Productions, whose tagline is, “We launch stories into the world and make them fly.”
Satterlund is hoping that uniting with Steady On will help to organize the vast fan base that The Record Keeper tapped in to. The Faith Geek and Satterlund’s many fans can continue to rally for the release of the film, while we are waiting for many new projects to come. Congratulations go out to Jason. We can’t wait to see what comes next.
